Peter Pan makes 400 sick

FDA officials went to investigate a contamination complaint at a ConAgra’s foods factory in Georgia in 2005. The managers at the plant refused to provide documents to the inspectors so the inspectors left and didn’t follow up. WTF? Why send someone out in the first place.

I wonder how this went…..

Inspector: “let me see your records”.

Manager: “no”.

Inspector: “let me see your records”.

Manager: “no, go away, leave us alone. there is no problem here”.

Inspector: ” Ok”.

Well…. last August there was a salmonella outbreak that was traced back to that plant, apparently Peter Pan had a little more than peanuts in his peanut butter. 400 people were sick. Ok I am getting sick now thinking of eating peanuts out of….. peanut butter.

On a side note, FDA officials were successful in warning a group of farmers in California that their hogs may have eaten feed that had the same chemical in it that was found recently in contaminated dog food.

Wow I bet those hogs are thankful the farmer didn’t turn the FDA away.
